Why a Chauffeur Beats a Taxi App for Business Travel

For a single trip across town, a ride-hailing app is hard to argue with. For business travel it starts to show its limits, and the limits are always the same three: you don't know who is driving, you don't know what will arrive, and you can't rely on it being there at 6am when the meeting actually matters.

A chauffeur booking removes those variables. The car is known in advance, the driver is the same person each time where scheduling allows, and the booking exists as a commitment rather than a request broadcast to whoever happens to be nearby. For a client collection — where the vehicle is effectively the first thing your client experiences of your company — that difference is the entire point.

It also changes what the journey is worth. A forty-minute drive across London is forty minutes of dead time in the back of a taxi, or forty minutes of quiet, uninterrupted preparation before you walk into the room. Our chauffeurs take the view that conversation is the client's choice, not the driver's.

Accounts, Multiple Passengers and Repeat Bookings

Corporate work rarely arrives as a single tidy booking. If you're arranging travel on behalf of someone else — a PA booking for a director, an events team moving speakers between venues — put the traveller's details in the booking and your own in the notes, and we'll liaise with whoever you tell us to.

For multi-leg days and roadshows, tell us the full itinerary rather than booking each leg separately. Knowing the whole shape of the day lets us plan positioning between stops, which is usually both smoother and better value than treating each journey as unconnected. Multi-day bookings can be made in a single request using the Date Range or Multiple Days options on the booking form.

Repeat requirements are worth a conversation rather than a form. If you have a recurring need — the same weekly run, a standing airport collection, a regular client circuit — get in touch directly and we'll agree terms that fit the pattern instead of quoting it afresh each time.

Business accounts. Established clients can be set up with a simple business account:

  • Consolidated invoicing on request, rather than paying per journey
  • 30-day payment terms (late payment may incur a charge)
  • Priority booking for account clients
  • Trip summaries and receipts for straightforward expensing
  • No minimum spend or commitment to open an account

Discretion, Confidentiality and Conduct

A great deal of business gets discussed in the back of a car, on speakerphone, on the assumption that the driver isn't listening. Ours operate on the assumption that they haven't heard it. Nothing discussed in the vehicle is repeated, and nothing about who we carry is shared.

Practically, that also means the car is presented to a standard you'd be comfortable pulling up in outside a client's office: clean inside and out before the booking, complimentary water available, and phone chargers to hand. Smoking and vaping are not permitted in the vehicle.

Booking, Notice and Payment

We recommend at least 24 hours' notice for corporate travel, and 48 hours for long-distance journeys or multi-day itineraries. Shorter notice is welcome and we accommodate it wherever availability allows — but for anything where a missed pickup would be genuinely costly, book early rather than hopefully.

Bookings arrive as a request and we typically confirm within 1 to 3 hours. Pricing is quoted per journey based on route, duration and requirements, and is confirmed before anything is committed. We accept bank transfer, debit and credit cards, and cash, with payment terms agreed at the time of booking. Tolls, Congestion Charge and ULEZ are charged at cost where they apply.

Business Travel Across London

We serve business travellers right across London and the Home Counties, with regular corporate work in the City, Canary Wharf, Mayfair, Victoria and the West End. Whether it's an early start from Liverpool Street, a client run between offices, or a directors' pickup ahead of a Heathrow or London City flight, the collection point is wherever suits your day. Coverage isn't limited to these areas — they're simply the ones we're asked for most.
